Reepham Church
This project saw Medieval Masonry appointed as the main contractor by a conservation architect to work on Behalf of St Michaels Church PCC.
This project consisted of flint repointing to all 4 elevations of the Church tower, Stone replacements and repairs to various architectural stone elements in multiple places on the building and internal reordering including new stone floor, stainless steel staircase, lime plaster repairs and decorating.
The challenge with this project was site limitations and the logistics of getting all 20 tonnes of sand delivered to site to make the lime mortar to point over 100m2 of flint walling without causing damage to the church yard walls and surrounding properties. Most of our projects comprise of similar repair types but all of our projects present unique challenges for us to overcome.
We spend time in the pre construction phase looking at all the possible risks and employ measure to reduce and irradiate where possible to ensure a smooth and incident free project.
